The firms listed on our site must be regulated by one of the following bodies: Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), Bar Standards Board (BSB), Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC), Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX), or are members of the Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW), Society of Will Writers (SWW), or the Professional Paralegal Register (PPR). Regulation means they have to meet certain criteria, follow validated procedures and are accountable to that governing body.

To be listed, each firm must pass rigorous financial checks and carry comprehensive insurance. They will also be held accountable to the Legal Ombudsman, the IPW Alternative Dispute Resolution Service, CILEX Regulation or the Professional Paralegal Register.
